Meghan Otis is a Fit2Beit affiliate with an amazing and inspiring story! Her initial body consciousness began when she first wanted to get into modeling. Then came baby! Her beautiful bouncing bundle of joy was everything she ever wanted or needed in one adorable smiling little package. But along with this bundle, came a bundle of weight. Meg gained 50 pounds after having her son! Her body went into serious overdrive. Meg was distraught and heartbroken because she though her dreams of modeling and acting were over forever. But rather than choosing to be a victim, she chose to be a champion. Meghan got a trainer, worked out daily, and made sure she ate nutritious meals that gave her body everything it needed.
Normally, this is where the story ends, right? And they lived happily ever after? This story wasn’t quite so simple. After losing all of her baby weight and after months of hard work and commitment, Meg finally felt ready to put herself back out there in the pursuit of her dreams. Only to have people in the industry tell her that she still needed to lose at least 10 more pounds. Her heart was shattered and she admittedly turned to unhealthy means to try to get those last few pounds off. This led to an unhealthy relationship with food, adverse health effects, and a negative self-image.
Meghan realized this wasn’t right and now she promotes women having a strong and positive view of themselves and she pushes the importance of self-love. This is true especially for moms because she knows first hand how difficult it can be to feel comfortable in your skin, especially after having a baby. A woman’s body goes through so many changes that sometimes she can’t even recognize herself in the mirror. Fit2Beit is perfect for new moms because it offers workouts moms can do at home when going to the gym isn’t a viable option, as well as easy, quick, and affordable meal plans. Meghan now uses Fit2Beit to train, support, and educate moms on how to do things the RIGHT way and without turning to crazy dietary restrictions or having a fear of food, all while appreciating the beauty and strength one already possesses.
