Everyone’s main goal in life is to be happy right? To be happy with their career. To be happy with someone. To be happy with themselves. There’s no miracle cure-all for when it comes to happiness. It’s something that you have to work on everyday, even I work on it everyday! But there are a few things I’ve learned that the happiest people tend to do that help them live happier lives.
They stay active!!
This doesn’t necessarily mean you have to always be working out at the gym. It means literally just MOVING your body everyday, doing ANYTHING. It can be walks at the park, doing yoga, biking, or even going hiking!
They get a good night’s rest
Some of us have poor sleeping schedules or even deal with chronic insomnia. Some of us like to stay up late just because! When you’re getting a good full 7-8 hours of sleep though, your body is able to completely recharge from the day before and you’re waking up feeling great and refreshed. Sleep is SO important for your mental and physical health.
They LOVE nature
One of my favorite things to do in nature is go hiking. It really relaxes me and I feel like I can just BREATHE when I’m surrounded by greenery and blue skies. Whether it’s hiking or walking through parks though, or even just sitting in the grass, being “one” with nature really does make you feel better.
They always keep in touch with family and friends
Talking to my friends or family when I’ve had a long day is always a stress reliever for me. They give me advice. They make me laugh. They just simply make me happy! I always feel my best when I’m spending time with them no matter what I’m doing. Spending time with people who are super close to you can have a powerful, positive effect on your overall mood.
